Exhibition & Sale of Nativity Scenes at The Phoenix!

This month, we are displaying an Exhibit of splendid Christmas Nativity Scenes.  The collection tells the Christmas story, interpreted by craftspeople from around the world, in a variety of mediums, such as clay, wood, paper mache, wool & tin, and a variety of sizes, colors and prices.  Many are one-of-a-kind, and all are available for sale through the Holidays.  Browse through the photos below and stop in soon to enjoy!

Dia de los Muertos at The Phoenix

The week of November 1, 2011, The Phoenix is celebrating Dia de los Muertos, a day to honor and remember those who have passed away.   We have dedicated our window to the memory of Betty Jane Hays, (1914-2011) who along with her husband, Bill, first opened The Phoenix in 1955.  Stop by to see the window, and celebrate a woman who said "YES" to life!

8th Annual Georgetown French Market

The Phoenix is participating in Georgetown's 8th Annual French Market!  The French Market will take place April 29-30 from 10am to 5pm along Wisconsin Avenue between P Street and Reservoir Road.
