Injiri

Launched in 2009 by Chinar Farooqui, Injiri believes in the beauty of their many handcrafted processes and story-telling. Injiri works closely with master weavers across various parts of India, with constant engagement in conversation. Each design starts with curating and studying heritage and antique textiles, showcasing craftsmanship at its purest forms. They explore without defining how the textiles will end up as ‘product’ per se, yet instead they enjoy the journey of the processes that creativity takes them through. Not dictated by fashion and trends, their design language is derived from studying  ethnic traditions across the world while focusing on textile development and sustainable usage of materials.
