Foresto Bargi began Forest Clothing Co. in 1914 in Pisa, Italy. Fast forward three generations, his grandson Nicolas Bargi currently runs the ever-evolving outerwear and clothing company Save The Duck, now based in Milan. So why do we (and others) love this line so much? First off their product is warm (really warm!). They replaced goose down with state of the art technology, PLUMTECH® which is warmer, more breathable and lighter than down, not to mention the top layers are water repellent or resistant, depending on the piece. We also love that the raw materials that they use are strictly animal-free, recycled and of biological origin, and are sourced from suitable purchasing sources. Their products are made with the use of energy from renewable sources and the company continuously finds ways to improve the production and distribution processes to minimize the environmental impact.
