Shipping
We ship our products via UPS and use UPS shipping rates (based on weight and dimension).

Return policies
Online purchases are returnable for full refund to original purchaser within 30 days of purchase. Items must
be returned in original condition. Shipping charges are not refundable. In-store purchases may be returned
up to 10 days from date of purchase by original purchaser only, with receipt, for full refund. Gifts or items
without receipt may be returned for store credit up to 30 days from date of purchase.

The Phoenix is a family-run business, begun by Betty and Bill Hays in 1955. Betty and Bill would drive to Mexico from their home in Washington, DC, with their two young sons, and spend the summers exploring all that Mexico had to offer.

They fell in love with the people, the culture, and especially, the folk art. So they decided to bring the best of what they loved back to Washington. They filled the station wagon, drove home and opened for business.

Today, their son, John, his wife, Sharon, and their granddaughter, Samantha, continue the family tradition. Now, however, they fly--not drive--to Mexico twice a year, and usually work directly with artists there, selecting the finest folk art, fine art and jewelry to offer at The Phoenix.

The Phoenix is located in Georgetown, one of the oldest historic sections of Washington, DC, at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and P Street. Stop in and visit us when you are in town!

Sunday: 12 pm to 5 pm (winter)
