Ruthie the rabbit doll is crafted with a calm, inward presence, designed to settle naturally into a space rather than perform within it. She's dressed for the cool end of a Maine summer day — a soft yellow-green linen skirt, a white ruffled blouse, and a chunky alpaca knit cardigan pulled on after a swim in the ocean. The water still cold, the afternoon still warm, the towel drying on the dock. The clothing is intentionally unfussy, allowing the form and materials to lead.
