Woolgrass Farm

The story of Woolgrass Farm began when designer Camie Wiles was thirteen years old. Fascinated by the Amish way of life, Camie became a pen pal with a young girl in an Amish community in Pennsylvania. That relationship became a lifelong friendship. When Camie and her husband built their home in Eliot, Maine, they collaborated with her friend's family to build an Amish timber-frame house, and Woolgrass Farm was established.

Overlooking the open fields from the loft of her home, Camie makes each doll in her collection and clothes them in a handmade outfit. Inspired by the authenticity of the Amish way, she creates her dolls in a minimalist, simplistic style that lends an heirloom quality to each one.
