Artifaqt

John Luttmann launched Artifaqt in 2005 to offer home goods of his own design after years of designing for hotels and restaurants. The studio, established in 1983, is now led by John and two of his sons. Everything is handcrafted in Phoenixville, PA. They have a fondness for useful items made beautifully and seek to combine art and craft seamlessly into perfect co-existence.

Artifaqt sources their beeswax from a two generation family of beekeepers in Pennsylvania. This family moves their hives around the east coast depending on the season. Bees are a fundamental piece of our ecosystem. The majority of our crops rely on these busy bees! Beeswax is a byproduct of this natural system. When you think of beeswax you think of a field full of flowers, a buzzing hive...life! The alternative waxes rely on the sterile fields of monocropped soybeans or the byproducts of refined oil. 

Each one of Artifaqt's candles pays homage to the essential role bees play in our world. There is something incredibly special about the warm glow and amber light of a beeswax candle.
