Monica is a maker at heart and loves the messy, intricate process of transforming blunt metal into wearable objects of desire. The Designer + Metalsmith strives to illuminate that process in her designs by combining dark, raw, and precious elements. Her inspiration comes from the Scandinavian devotion to craftsmanship, design, and quality that she knows from her upbringing in Copenhagen and the natural beauty and vitality of California, where she currently lives. All pieces are handcrafted in her California studio and adhere to high standards of environmental responsibility.
