The baskets are handwoven from durable plastic, making them long-lasting and suitable for outdoor use. Mifuko uses upcycled plastic wherever possible. The plastic meets food-grade requirements, so the products are safe to use in contact with food. You can clean them with a damp cloth or rinse them with water, but do not scrub the surface, machine wash, spin dry, or tumble dry. Allow to dry in a warm place, but not in direct sunlight.

The handles and straps of these baskets are made from locally sourced leather. The leather is vegetable tanned, a process that uses organic materials and natural tannins derived from the bark, leaves, and branches of trees and plants.
