Mirth | Kyoto Shirt in Chocolate Heka

The Kyoto Shirt is Mirth's signature oversized button-up shirt in a soft silk and cotton blend with buttons on the front placket and cuffs. It has a back yoke with inverted pleat and gathers, full-length sleeves tapered at a wide cuff, and chest patch pockets. Pair with the Woodstock Short in Chocolate Heka, as pictured.

Mirth collaborates with a family of 7th generation master printers in Bagru, India to create this block printed fabric. Each part of the process of this ancient technique takes place in this community: hand carving blocks out of wood, hand printing the fabric using Azo-free dyes, and washing and setting the final textiles. Nature plays an important role in the process, from mineral rich water and the sun’s rays to plants and the earth, all used in various stages of printing.
